Virginia, I read you comment to me in September. I do not know how to post pictures of my work or join the forum. I would enjoy emails with summeries of the monthly meetings. I'm working on an ideafor the United Methodist Christian Art Show. It is my experience with the Holy Spirit. Louise

Hi Todd- I didn't recognize you from your avatar :-)
I've written three icons in classes with Diane Hamel at the Franciscan Center in Lowell. I bought a book called 'A Brush with God" by Peter Pearson and have been doing some on my own. It's a very meditative process for me.

Hi Virginia. Yes, I'm an artist, though not terribly productive lately. I came to manna meetings a few times before, but it's been a year or so, because until very recently, I've been working a second shift. (I'm Carolyn Rock's son-in-law) Sometime, it would be fun to hear about your experience of writing icons... Several months ago, my family began attending an Orthodox parish, and the church is filled with beautiful icons.

I love it that you think I know what I'm doing here, Eric! That's a hoot!

VIrginia - do you have a way to have all the members shown on the MAIN page be people who have photos of themselves? I think it would make it more personal ... maybe have the photos of the members who come most often??? Just an idea.

Hi Virginia,

Hey, I see that you still have not deleted my original page listed as Diane McKnight. I am currently using the Diane McKnight2 site and that is the most current. If you get a chance and can delete the one without the "2" then I would be back to just one member page so that people do not get confused. Thank you!

Our Lady of the Burning Bush? Wow! I love the description you give. Can't wait to see the Icon.

Thanks Eric- I'll be 'writing' another in a week at the Franciscan Center. It's called our lady of the burning bush'. According to a site I googled- She is the holy ground where God, the "I Am Who Am", is present. She is this burning place of God's visit that doesn't consume her.
