We are formerly MANNA- a group of Christians in the visual arts. This is a bold move into another part of the world wide web.

Virginia,
I am exhibiting at Mary Free Bed for Artprize. I will plan on seeing the Civa exhibit and look forward to participating in the vote.
My sculpture, Rain is the only art entry at Mary Free Bed. It is located outside near their entrance on Wealthy St. You can see it anytime.
I have only been to a couple of CIVA meetings becasue of other obligations but do appreciate the influence CIVA has on the art community.

Hi Virginia
Thanks but you should look closer :)
I am in Germany now and leave tomorrow for the Netherlands. I am also a musician and I'm on tour for three weeks with Russian, German, Dutch, and Kenyan musicians leading praise and worship at chucrhes in three countries. I will be back in Michigan August 26. I will try to upload some photos of my paintings when I get back
God bless..

Kindred spirits, kindred spirits. What can I say?

Thank you, Virginia. This triptych started out as simply abstractedbeach grass with water behind it. Then I added this and that. In the end, I ended up with my interpretation of a day on a Miami beach. Kinda wild but fun. Time I visited there, I think...

Virginia, I read you comment to me in September. I do not know how to post pictures of my work or join the forum. I would enjoy emails with summeries of the monthly meetings. I'm working on an ideafor the United Methodist Christian Art Show. It is my experience with the Holy Spirit. Louise

Hi Todd- I didn't recognize you from your avatar :-)
I've written three icons in classes with Diane Hamel at the Franciscan Center in Lowell. I bought a book called 'A Brush with God" by Peter Pearson and have been doing some on my own. It's a very meditative process for me.

Hi Virginia. Yes, I'm an artist, though not terribly productive lately. I came to manna meetings a few times before, but it's been a year or so, because until very recently, I've been working a second shift. (I'm Carolyn Rock's son-in-law) Sometime, it would be fun to hear about your experience of writing icons... Several months ago, my family began attending an Orthodox parish, and the church is filled with beautiful icons.
