wow that is incredible. And the big city does seem quite different from the little towns I saw along the way. I'm glad she is having such a great experience. It is quite the culture shock! With dirt floors and limited electricity. I wish her all the best! I admire people who can make a long term commitment like that!
Eric,
I really appreciate the offer of helping and I may take you up on it sometime. Right now it would be schedule suicide and total overload. I think I'm the only one from this area--well, there is one person on here from traverse city and we still consider that local. I would love to have a group closer and If I started one, I know I would need some help and input. This forum is perfect for me right now because I am soo busy. I design the sets for the local summer theater group and that job always takes alot of my summer. I'm also the main painter of the sets, so, it really is a full time job(volunteer). My husband just got a position as the pastor of the first presbyterian church in Boyne City (about 25 minutes away). He just became a pastor 3 years ago and I'm trying to get some art into the services--which takes alot of time also. Anyway--- I could ramble all day--I'll end with this...I really appreciate this site and getting encouragement and feedback from this group and if I can couple the meetings with other business then that would be great too, to see everyone in person. And I really appreciate your offer. I'm glad you're on this newwork, I think you ask great questions.

Kathy, I am so glad that you are on this network. I hope you can make a meeting some time. I know it is a long trip. How many people are in your area from GR CIVA? Ever give thought to starting a group in your area? I remember when you came and presented, and if you did want some help with this, I would be happy to do whatever I could.
Hi Kathy!
I was in Yaounde for a week and then went up north to Bamenda for a few days. I was on a medical mission trip, lead by a couple who are originally from Cameroon. How is your daughter doing? It is quite different from home!
Hi Kathy, Thank you for the kind comments. I don't often have the opportunity to hear from those who view the work...to hear how it affects them...so I really appreciate you sharing with me. Do you attend the monthly meetings? I would love to meet sometime...I am especially moved by your pieces expressing the heart through the eyes...very powerful!
