Welcome, Jackie! It would be nice to know your last name or see a picture of you or picture of your work- or perhaps you need to be incognito! Witness protection can be a tough way to go! Your page rocks!
Jacqueline,
My daughter Sarah is doing well. She has been there almost 2 years (in Aug. it will be 2 years) and she loves her village. I am very in awe of her to be able to go and live in a hut with no electricity or running water, not knowing the language( at first, she is now fluent in Fulfulde) and living in sometimes 140 degree weather! I don't think I could do it. But she loves it. She gets to Yaounde a few times a year to go to training sessions etc. She finds that the bigger city is so much different than where she is. Her term with the peace corps is over in December and she will be coming home for a little while until she decides what's next. She is a Calvin grad in literature and writing and has a novel started. One of my other daughters visited her in Cameroon for about 16 days and they had a great time together and she took video for us so we could see where she lived and the people she talks about. A couple of my paintings I posted on here are from pictures of people in Sarah's village.

Jacqueline, I just read Eric's comment and saw you were in Cameroon. My daughter is in the peace corps there. Where were you in Cameroon --would love to hear about it. Sarah is in Tongo in the northern part of Cameroon.
